Model: first 8 hours at normal pay, next 2 at 150%, remaining hours at 200%.
This illustrates daily overtime only. Weekly overtime, Sunday and night supplements, travel, allowances and deductions are excluded. Your agreement and working-time arrangement determine your entitlement.

How this calculation works
The example splits paid work minutes into three bands and multiplies each band by its pay rate. The result is rounded to cents, and the three rows always add up to the displayed total. A long shift does not automatically make every hour double-paid.
At €18/hour, a 12-hour weekday is €144 regular pay + €54 at 150% + €72 at 200% = €270 gross under this model.
Check the agreement that applies to you
Use your actual hourly rate and check your employment contract, applicable collective agreement and agreed working-time schedule. The Working Time Act provides general rules, while collective agreements can set or modify the details. WORKPAY’s example is not a substitute for your employer’s payroll calculation.
